Extended 3D applications
The biggest obstacle to capturing diagnostically useful 3D volume data has been in the scanning process. With practice and a steady hand, "freehand" 3D scanning can produce remarkable surface-rendered images. But the inherent lack of precision in this manual process makes the volume data virtually useless for diagnostic purposes. Our high-tech 3D probes have overcome this challenge with an ultra-precise automatic volume scanning mechanism that captures a high-resolution 3D dataset of
the region of interest. The scan data can then be reviewed and analyzed with the extensive suite of 3D post-processing and visualization tools available in our SonoView™ II image management application. There's simply no other 3D ultrasound system that offers so much for so little.

LIVE 3D
In pregnancy check-ups, the Live 3D mode captures detailed 3D images of the fetus in motion that will enhance paternal bonding as well as clearly reveal any congenital anomalies.

3D MULTI-PLANAR DISPLAY
Medison 3D imaging technology brings a new level of care and confidence to the Ob/Gyn field. In pre-pregnancy exams, the basic 3D mode supports multiplanar visualization of the uterus, a technological breakthrough that provides a comprehensive overview of uterine health. Multiplanar visualization is available to allow precise measurement of nuchal translucency for early diagnosis of Down syndrome.
